First day of the ACC Tournament always gets me pumped!
I am now a Big Ten guy, but I grew up in Raleigh from 1980-1990 and even as a lad, I used to get so fired up for the ACC Tournament. I hated UNC so much back then. That was always the question in school: State or Carolina?
As my dad taught at NCSU and I went to all the football and basketball games, I was a die-hard N.C. State fan. This was back in the days of Chris Corchiani, Rodney Monroe, Tommy Gugliotta and Charles Shackleford.
